How do I start chatting?
Simply click the "Start Chat" button on any page, choose a nickname, and you'll be connected to our chat rooms. No registration is required - you can start chatting immediately. For video chat, you'll be prompted to enable your camera when you enter a video chat room.
Is this service really free?
Yes! Our basic chat features are completely free to use. We offer some optional premium features for users who want an enhanced experience, but all core functionality - text chat, video chat, and access to all public rooms - remains free.
Do I need to create an account?
No registration is required. Just choose a nickname and start chatting. However, creating a free account unlocks additional features like saving your preferences, adding friends, and accessing private chat history.
What devices can I use?
Our platform works on any device with a web browser - desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. We also have dedicated apps available for iOS and Android devices. Your experience will automatically optimize for your screen size.

Privacy & Safety

Is my identity protected?
Yes. You're identified only by your chosen nickname. We never require personal information like your real name, email address, or phone number to use basic features. Your IP address is kept private and not displayed to other users.
How do I report inappropriate behavior?
Every chat message and user profile has a report button (usually a flag icon). Click it and select the reason for your report. Our moderation team reviews all reports promptly and takes appropriate action, which can include warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal.
Can others see my IP address?
No. Your IP address is never visible to other users. It is only used internally for security purposes and connection optimization, and is never shared or displayed on the platform.
What should I not share in chat rooms?
Never share personal identifying information such as your full name, home address, phone number, email address, workplace, or financial information. Keep your conversations within the platform until you're absolutely certain you can trust someone - and even then, be cautious.

Chat Features

How does random chat matching work?
Our random matching system connects you with another user who is currently online and looking for a chat. Matching is based primarily on availability rather than interests, ensuring quick connections. If you don't hit it off, simply click "Next" to be matched with someone new instantly.
How do I enable video chat?
When you enter a video chat room or start a random video chat, your browser will prompt you to allow camera and microphone access. Click "Allow" to enable video. You can turn off your camera at any time by clicking the camera icon in the chat controls.
Can I chat privately with someone?
Yes! You can start a private conversation with any user by clicking on their username and selecting "Send Private Message." Private messages are only visible to you and the recipient.
How do I add friends?
Click on a user's profile and select "Add Friend." They'll receive a friend request, and once accepted, you can see when they're online and easily start conversations with them anytime.

Technical Issues

Why is my video lagging or freezing?
Video quality depends on your internet connection. Try closing other bandwidth-intensive applications, moving closer to your WiFi router, or switching to a wired connection. If problems persist, try refreshing the page - this often resolves connection issues.
My camera isn't working. What should I do?
First, check that you've allowed camera access in your browser. Make sure no other application is currently using your camera. Try unplugging and replugging external webcams. As a last resort, restart your browser or device. You can always continue with text chat while troubleshooting.
Why did I get disconnected?
Disconnections can happen due to network issues, server maintenance, or inactivity timeouts. Check your internet connection and try reconnecting. If disconnections happen frequently, try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache.
